Phuket King's Cup Regatta |

The Phuket King's Cup Regatta is Asia's biggest and most popular regatta. More than a regatta, the week-long event consists of great parties, great sailing and lots of fun. Inaugurated in 1987 to celebrate the 60th birthday of His Majesty the King of Thailand, the event has been held every year since during the first week of December.

In 2010, the King’s cup regatta has returned with more prestigious events in Phuket.
There are more than 100 boats entered the events which the entrants are from all over the world such as Australia, New Zealand, Japan ,China, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Turkey, Denmark, Russia and more. |
Vegetarian Festival |

The Vegetarian festival is happens annually during the ninth lunar moth according to Chinese calendar. During this festival, locals who joy the event need to become vegetarian or vegan diet for at least 10 days. To clean their mind and have pure spirits. The Chinese rituals are performs in all Chinese temples around Phuket area in different times and days. Throughout the festival, fireworks and drums are being use during ceremonies, locals believes that the sound would help to avoid all evil spirits.
Must do:
Have vegan diet or become vegetarian

Wear white cloths during the festival

Old Phuket town festival |

The old town Phuket festival at Tanlang road in Phuket town. The word “ songkarn itself mean Moving which related to the movement of the sun. The water festival is happen on the 13 -15th April every year. Water festival is also including in the hottest period of month in Thailand. In Phuket , the festival happens just 1 day in all areas in Phuket however if you didn’t have enough, At Bangla road in Patong, the water festival is started at the early morning and finish after midnight.
The traditional way, families and friends are getting together in the morning and go to Thai temple together to celebrate the festival and being blessed by sprinkling water to Buddha image wishing for good luck for the coming year. It s a fun time for young people, people are using water guns to spraying, throwing water to each other like a water battle, so if you carry a camera, you might need some waterproof plastic bag for protection. |

Seafood Festival
held around May yearly, is designed to publicise the delicious seafood of Phuket and attract visitors during the rainy season. Activities include a Marine Tourism Resources Parade, seafood stalls, demonstrations of regional cuisines and cultural shows.

Phuket Travel Fair
held on November 1, was first initiated in 1985 at Patong to welcome in the tourist season and designed to foster co-operation among tourism-related operators both in the private and public sectors. Many colourful and interesting activities are organised, such as merit-making in the morning, water sports contests, a Miss Visitor Contest, among others.
Thao Thep Krasatri-Thao Sri Suntorn Festival
is held on 13 Macrh yearly in memory of the two heroines who led the defense of the island against the Burmese in 1785.
Laguna Phuket Triathlon
is held in each December. The triathlon (a 1,000-metre swim, a 5-kilometre bike race and a 12-kilometre run) attracts world-class athletes from all over the world.
This annual year end event sees the world's top triathletes and hundreds of amateurs competing for prize money and placing on the world triathlon circuit. The course, which includes swimming, bicycling, and running through the beautiful natural surroundings of Laguna Phuket in Tambon Choeng Thale, takes from two-and-a-half to five hours to complete.

Tourist Season Opening Festival
starting from November 1, is usually called the Patong Carnival, from the place where celebrations occur. Colourful parades, sports events, and a beauty competition for foreign tourists are major activities.
Loi Krathong Festival
The most picturesque of the Thai festivals is held on the full-moon of the 12th lunar month. Little candle-lit krathongs are launched onto the water as an offering to Mother Water. People apologise for polluting the water and promise to do better in the future.
Loy means to send adrift, and Krathong means: a little basket-like boat containing small flowers and other offerings suitable for the water spirits.
Turtle Release Fair
is held on Songkran, the nationwide Thai water festival, on April 13 which is also National Fisherman's Day. Baby turtles are released into the sea at various locations.
Chao Le (Sea Gypsy) Boat Floating Festival
falls during the middle of the sixth and eleventh lunar months yearly. The sea gypsy villages at Rawai and Sapam hold their ceremonies on the 13th; Ko Si-re celebrates on the 14th; and Laem La (east of the bridge on Phuket's northerntip) on the 15th. Ceremonies, which centre around the setting adrift of small boats similar to the Thai festival of Loi Krathong, are held at night and their purpose is to drive away evil and bring good luck.
